Doris Daif

Doris Daif is a consumer and business to business executive with over 20 years of experience building and transforming products and experiences to delight consumers and change lives.  She has held strategic roles at iconic companies including American Express, the NBA, and Nike.  

As the eldest daughter of immigrant parents from Egypt, Doris experienced first hand the feelings of inclusion/exclusion and of belonging/not belonging.  She continues to be on a journey of self discovery and confidence and is passionate about destigmatizing these conversations.

Recent talks include: 

First Generation Child to Corporate Executive:  Doris’ upbringing has both helped and hindered her path to becoming who she is today.  She spends time breaking down her earliest childhood memories and belief system that led to her education and early career decisions.  Doris gets vulnerable to talk about her own confidence and body issues that held her back at times from being seen and what it took to change her mindset and overcome the odds.

Taking Risks in Your Career:  Doris describes her 16 year experience at American Express and the pivotal role that took her out of a traditional marketing executive path and how it has shaped her risk taking since that time moving out of financial services  into sports/media at the NBA and most recently commerce at Nike.

Building and Leading Diverse Teams:   Doris describes building teams from scratch at the National Basketball Association and Nike giving both companies the most diverse marketing teams in their history.  Doris will describe the approach, the risks, rewards, and watch outs as one thinks about diversity from race to gender to skill set.

Leading Business Transformations:  Over and over, Doris has been tapped to lead audacious business transformations..  Doris will walk through her experiences and how her earliest jobs and moves set her up for this type of work (unbeknownst to her at the time). 

Doris has been named one of 25 Most Influential Women in Payments.  She currently serves on the board of USA for UNFPA, the United Nations organization for women’s reproductive and health rights.
